Thank you for using Noah software. This document includes information on Noah 4, including sections on:

 

Please thoroughly read the Getting Started guide before you install Noah 4.

System Requirements

Noah 4 requires installation on a system with the following specifications or better:

-          Windows operating system must be one of

o   Windows 8

o   Windows 7

o   Windows Vista with SP2

o   Windows XP with SP3

o   Windows Server 2008

o   Windows Server 2003 SP2

-          Screen resolution must be at least 1024*768

Preparing for Noah 4

Before installing Noah 4 you should ensure that the PC fulfills the minimum requirements mentioned above. You should also check that the Noah modules you use are ready for Noah 4. This information can be found at www.himsa.com – look under HIMSA-certified Noah modules.

Noah 4 Installation

To install Noah 4 on your PC simply run setup.exe and follow the instructions.

Migrating from NOAH System 3

If you install Noah 4 on a PC with NOAH System 3 already installed you will have the option of migrating your NOAH System 3 settings, data and modules to Noah 4.

Important: Please note that NOAH 3 and Noah 4 cannot coexist – after installing Noah 4 you will not be able to use NOAH 3 on the same PC.

The migration process will move all modules currently installed in NOAH 3 to Noah 4. Your preferred NOAH 3 language and backup settings will also be migrated to Noah 4 along with all NOAH 3 user and patient data.

You can also migrate data from a NOAH System 3 on a different PC to the PC running Noah 4. To do this you must use the Noah 3 data collector. You can find the utility and instructions in the Tools folder on the Noah 4 distribution CD.

Noah 4 Documentation

To help you use Noah 4 in the most efficient manner, HIMSA provides electronic copies of the Getting Started and User guides. During installation, these documents will be copied into your Noah System program folder and be accessible through the system Start menu.

Known Problems and Issues

If you have a Security package, such as firewall or antivirus, the installation may fail. If this happens you may need to disable the security features temporary and rerun the Noah 4 installation.
